General Position Summary
Patrols and provides security and crime prevention in and around the court; provides safety to the court staff and the public.

Qualifications

  • Education, Certification, & Experience
    • High school or GED certificate
    • No criminal history that involves serious misdemeanors, felonies or extensive driving record
    • Prior law enforcement experience is preferred.
    • Valid Driver's License
    • First Aid/CPR Certified
    • Must be 21 years of age
  • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
    • Language Skills - Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
    • Mathematical Skills - Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
    • Reasoning Ability - Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.  Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
    • Computer Skills - To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Internet software.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Salary and Benefits
This is an hourly, non-exempt with a wage range of $23.93-$30.27 per hour.  The pay range listed here reflects the FULL pay range for this position for the current fiscal year.  Salary offers are based on the candidate's equivalent experience and internal equity with other employees within the same job classification.

Work Schedule
This position is full-time, scheduled for 40 hours per week, Tuesday through Friday. It is the attendance standard of the employer that all employees be present and on time each shift they are scheduled to work.
