Klamath County is seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to fill the role of Human Resources Director. This executive-level position offers an exciting opportunity to lead and shape the County's HR functions.
Position Overview
The Human Resources Director will oversee all aspects of the County's HR operations, including recruitment, personnel management, labor relations, and employee development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct County-wide personnel programs in compliance with established rules, policies, and relevant laws
- Serve as chief labor relations negotiator and administrator of classification and compensation plans
- Oversee employee assistance programs and special projects
- Manage the County's recruitment, selection, and performance appraisal processes
- Develop and implement comprehensive HR policies and procedures
- Administer employee benefit and insurance programs
- Act as Plan Administrator and fiduciary for the Klamath County Employee Pension Plan
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a closely related field
- 4 years of related HR experience with increasing responsibility
- Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience
Required Skills:
- Strong leadership and interpersonal abilities
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
Certifications:
- Valid Oregon Driver's License
